Safe Hitch Hiking, Another Keachie Koncept

Technorati Profile

With the cell phone, its GPS capabilities, a registration database for both drivers and riders, a system can be developed to give almost door to door service in a just in time mode. I'm tired so I won't flesh this out completely now, but if you think about it, you won't have to work too hard to see the possibilities.

Sounds like the Smart Jitney.

Adam Heilbrun is also interested in this - do you know him?

Hey Doug, any chance you could change your blog settings so the comments don't require preapproval?

I've set my blog comments to show a Capcha(sp?) and notify me by email *after* a comment's been published, and I have almost no problem with spam, so you could do likewise...

It's very rewarding to the commenters, if our comments show up immediately.

Thanks (and feel free to not approve this one, I just wanted to send you an email and this is the easiest way) -
Anna

Great minds think alike - see Smart Jitney, NuRide and Goose.

I think some enterprising Sierra College students ought to bring something like that on.

Or some enterprising San Juan Ridge residents... :-)
